How to meditate wisely and meaningfully

Today, many people are practicing meditation,

which is really wonderful since meditation can temporarily help you considerably reduce the traffic of thoughts, and with continuous practice, meditators can gradually achieve total inner freedom. However, there are many conditions required for the successful practice of meditation. Firstly, proper guidance and advice from qualified teachers is very important. Secondly, listening and contemplation assist meditators immensely in their ability to practice effectively and efficiently. Finally, meditators should continually maintain mindfulness and awareness throughout the practice. Without observing these essential requirements, simply closing your eyes and sitting on a cushion will not get you anywhere. Such an unwise approach is like throwing everything from your refrigerator into a cooking pot and expecting delicious food to emerge. In most cases, information you might get from unreliable sources like so many on YouTube will only lead you astray. Failure and success are not far apart, so we must follow all the right steps for a successful meditation practice. Most importantly, in order to gain positive results from your meditation, you must practice wisely and meaningfully.
