Rinpoche was overwhelmed by the warm reception given by several Rinpoches and lamas as well as more than 30000 devotees. It took Rinpoche about 4 to 5 hours just to sprinkle the rice grains on the huge crowd that kept streaming in to receive blessings! It was a wonderful sight to behold just looking at the beaming faces of those who have waited so long to receive the blessings from Rinpoche. Many were moved to tears just merely being present. It was so filled with blessings and auspiciousness that a huge rainbow appeared across the sky! One of the most interesting pictures is that which showed the crowd going under a plank carrying the deity's picture and vase to receive the initiation from Rinpoche! How fortunate we are to be able to receive directly from Rinpoche the "knock" on our heads when we attend initiations. Its unlikely for Rinpoche to do that in Qinghai as the crowd is too big! There are also some pictures of Rinpoche meditating in the room that was originally occupied by Trung Mase in the 14th century".
