To be blind is bad, but worse is to have eyes and not see.

The struggle of life is one of our greatest blessings.

It makes us patient, sensitive, and Godlike.

It teaches us that although the world is full of suffering, it is
also full of the overcoming of it

Dear Dharma Follower,

We hope this letter finds you in the very best of health and doing well in your spiritual practice. We also would like to sincerely thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kind and generous support for all the foundations of our Buddhist centers.

Here in the monastery every thing is going well as usual and monks are following very hectic routine according to their own different classes, almost whole day with their trainings which include Dharma, Tibetan, English and considerable chanting of prayers which come differently on different dates.

As you know, our Institution for Advanced Studies of Buddhist Philosophy which is situated at the upper hilltop of our main temple has been completed since last year. Presently, there are around 30 monks who are doing their studies on great subjects known as The Five Treatises of Buddhist Philosophy:

1. Perfection of Wisdom,
2. Middle way,
3. Valid Cognition,
4. Monastic Discipline,
5. Treasury of Knowledge

under the guidance of Khenpo Kunga Sherab.

The monks are extremely grateful to you as the wonderful environment for them to pursue their spiritual practices will not be possible by just commitment alone without your generous support and compassion in realising our aspiration to uphold purely the Buddhist Tradition, especially the Zurmang Kagyud Lineage in such degenerate time.

We have hired a couple of Tibetan teachers recently. One is for elder monks to learn grammar and composition. Other one is to teach writing and reading of Tibetan to beginners. Since then, the monks' studies and learning have improved tremendously.

We have almost completed the exterior of the Lingdum Hospital which is for resident monks and the villagers in the vicinity of Lingdum. It would take another few months to complete. We have also just finished repairing the roof of our main temple and also all monk’s quarters. So our effort of enriching Buddhist Tradition could not be fulfilled or even to continue without the support of well wishers and sponsors like you.

Here, every day we do Pujas and prayers for the well being of all sentient beings including you. This is what we can do for you in return for your kindness and generosity.

Tashi Delek! With best wishes,

Yours in the Dharma,

Rinpoche and all monks
