Always try to uphold our moral conduct irregardless of situations

We must always be truthful, honest, and sincere and take responsibility for our own actions.

But at the same time, we cannot expect that this approach will necessarily lead to a positive outcome in every case. Sometimes we may have to face painful consequences, but this is the nature of things. Upholding the truth is not about getting a happy ending, but about maintaining our morality regardless of the immediate outcome. However, we can also have conviction in the fact that the long term karmic consequences of moral conduct will always be beneficial.
