** If you see your Guru as a Buddha, you will recieve the blessings of a Buddha ** If you see your Guru as a Boddhisatva, you will recieve the blessings of a Boddhisatva ** If you see your Guru as a friend, you will only receive the blessings of a friend **

Think wisely before speaking

There are times when telling the unfiltered, harsh truth can bring unnecessary pain to others,

including those who we might admire the most. Thus, we must always ask ourselves whether or not the words we intend to speak will bring harmony and strengthen our friendships. If not, then keeping silence may be the best path. Of course, if we must speak painful truths in order to protect others from danger, then this is another matter entirely. In such cases, we must take the wisest path for the best long term outcome. In sum, above all, we must use our best judgement to make wise decisions about what we say in order to maximize benefit and minimize harm to others.
